In the Tytron softwrae when you click import/export/backup you are not affecting the entire database, you are only affecting the patient who is currently loaded. If you want to backup/transfer the entire database go to Start>My Computer>C Drive>C3000> and simply copy the DB folder. If this is a backup copy the folder on a secure computer, if you are transfering a database paste it in the same directory on the new computer (delete the old one too).
