If you find one that of your patients scans are missing a
section like below there are a few possible causes.

In this graph there are breaks in each
of the line graphs indicating a problem. In this case we see
that the line graph of the direct temperature for both the
left and right sides get very cold right before the break in
the graph. You see that the direct temperatures drop below
30° C which causes the program to not display a
differential. When the temperature is below 30° C you would
be using unreliable data. The underlying cause of this
temperature swing can be due to a patient coming in from
cold weather. In this case you should allow your patient to
rest and acclimate your office room temperature for
approximately 15 minutes before scanning again. If this
continues to be an issue the patient could have a chronic
problem that needs to be corrected.
Another cause of a graph not fully
being displayed is if the Segmental mode is turned on. The
segmental mode allows you to scan the lower back and skip up
to the cervical region. To turn this mode off just
look in the top corner of the scan screen and ensure that
the [Segment] button has not been pressed.
