Support - Tytron 1.x Knowledge Base

If you have just purchased a used TyTron Scanner from another doctor or are about to there are some things you will need to be aware of.

You should have the scanner sent in to Titronics to be checked over and make sure that everything is functioning properly. Before shipping the scanner to Titronics you need to call 1.800.705.2307 for approval. You can ship these scanners insured to the following address:

Titronics Research & Development Co.
400 Stephans Street, Suite D
PO Box 470
Tiffin, IA  52340-0470
USA

There is a one time charge for this service of $245. With this service Titronics will do the following:

  1. Check for scanner for complete functionality.
  2. Provide the most current version of the software for your scanner.
  3. Make sure all necessary components and accessories are included.
  4. Provide One Year of support for scanners that have been checked.

The cost of any repairs needed are not the responsibility of Titronics. All buyers should consult with the sellers to determine who will cover the cost.

Additionally you will want to check the serial number of the used scanner before buying. If the scanner serial number begins with a 3xxxx it will require a hardware upgrade to get it to function with Windows XP or 2000. Scanners with serial numbers 4xxxx do not require this upgrade.
